skills & experience

To create the publications, I work closely with publishing managers and customers, who are often based overseas. I help to organise and oversee the work of freelance writers, other pre-press companies, photo agencies and copy-editors etc as well as managing the budget for each project. Depending on the nature of the project, I either act solely as the manager or combine this role with hands on work, either designing and laying out the books, doing the photo research, taking the photographs, content research or cartographic work, if it's required. Generally, I do whatever task needs to be done!

I’ve worked, and continue to work, with The Imperial War Museum, UNESCO, Pearson Canada, Pearson Australia, Jonathan Ball Publishers of South Africa, Canadian Geographic, Scottish Enterprise, Visit Scotland and Prudential.

As a result of my skill set I’m able to pick up a variety of publishing jobs, either to complete myself or to enlist the assistance of the many contacts I have in the industry. Thus, you can be assured that your project is in safe hands.
